User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0

When I wish to print multiple copies of a multi-page document and collate the
copies, FireFox only prints a single copy.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. File > Print
2. Number of copies > 1
3. Click Collate check box
4. Click OK

Actual Results:
FireFox only prints one copy instead of the number requested.

Expected Results:
Printed the number of copies requested (i.e. more than one).
Works for me in
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0
maybe your printer doesn't supports collate ?

see also bug 162954
I'm getting the same thing in FireFox 1.0.4. It works fine in Internet Explorer
6. I thought at first it was a problem with my printer driver until I printed
something from Internet Explorer 6 by accident. I'm running WinXP with SP2
though, not Win2k.

WFM (Win XP prof SP2, Firefox 1.5.0.1 ID:2006011112).

Badger, Barry - your reported Firefox version(s) are too old a build to analyze bugs against now. The problem you are reporting may well have been fixed already.

Could you please download a recent version or nightly build from <http://www.mozilla.org/releases/nightly.html>, and then let us know if you still see this problem?

Many thanks, Cigno

When printing PDFs from Firefox, the print dialogue is ignored with respect to number of copies and pages. Only the first page of a multi-page document will print, and no more. Pages must be printed individually. The PDF tax documents at www.irs.gov show this behavior.

Dear Mark,

This is likely to be a separate issue, not related to this bug. Please file a full and separte bug report. Nevertheless, some feedback from my side:

WFM. Have tried PDFs from various online locations, all pages, multiple copies, page ranges worked all fine.

> The PDF tax documents at www.irs.gov show this behavior.

On their website they offer "Form 4868" as first download option (popular):
http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f4868.pdf?portlet=3
I can't find any errors / problems printing from it.

In general, print request of PDFs displayed in Firefox through the Adobe Reader plugins are handed through to the plugin and handed solely by it. Such printing trouble is hence a plugin problem, to be reported to their software team. (Comment: Note different printing dialogs for PDFs versus when just printing a webpage!)

If you still feel there is some connection to Fx' performance, please be so kind as to file a separate bug report with full background information.
Best regards, Cigno
