I have an update on this bug Steps to recreate the problem ------------------------------ 1. Install Firefox 2. Install itunes for windowx XP which includes the quick time plugin 3. go to a page with <embed> tag like the one in http://www.utdallas.edu/~chung/course.html 4. Firefox will stop responding. Note: The crash is due to the embed in the page and not due to java. Thanks (In reply to comment #0) > User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 > Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 > > I use java version J2SE 5.0 Update 1 (jre-1_5_0_01-windows-i586-p-iftw.exe) in > windows. > > Firefox stops responding when I open firefox stops responding when I open this > page.
