"Sort by Order Received" (i.e. don't sort at all, just show me the messages in
the order they appear in the folder) is in the View menu, but it's always greyed
out.

It's really hard to read mail without this, because new messages appear at
random places in the inbox and I tend to miss them and then find them several
days later.
