Entries for completed, downloaded files in Download Manager have two links next
to them: Open and Remove. These can be accessed by the keyboard using Tab.
However, they cannot be activated by the keyboard by pressing Return or Space.
They must be clicked on with a mouse. This is wholly inaccessible to
keyboard-only users (e.g. users with motor or sight disabilities)
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Download a file in Mozilla (e.g. an executable).
2. Open Download Manager and wait for the file to finish downloading.
3. Tab to either of the Open or Remove links for the downloaded file.
4. Press Return or Space.
Actual Results:
Nothing.
Expected Results:
Activated the Open or Remove link - that is, initiate the activity as though you
had clicked on Open or Remove with the left mouse button.
I don't know if you should activate the Open or Remove link when the user
presses Space ("The SPACEBAR activates a command button once the user moves the
input focus to the button." - from
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/en-us/dnwue/html/ch09b.asp) or Return (how
links work in Internet Explorer and Firefox). I would suggest that both operate
the Open or Remove link.| Reporter | ||

This is an image of problem: Open has been selected with the Tab key but there is no way to "press" the link.

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01". This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code. While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug (given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more reproduction information if you have it. If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved. Thank you for your help in this matter.
