Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0

Built in popup stopper is losing effectiveness with occurrences at sporadic
url’s. I have a popup example but unable to post an attachment on your site.
For example, a popup will occur when clicking on a link on this main URL:
http://www.drudgereport.com/. Clicking on today’s Washington Post link created
the popup but could be another one later on. Apparently, methods are being
devised to overcome your program’s ability to block. Sorry that I cannot
provide more specific details. Thanks very much.

Reproducible: Sometimes
That url in particular is hard to figure out what is causing it, my best guess
is an onclick method with the links causing a pop-up to appear, (which is
legitimate) and the pop-up script setting a variable to check in a seperate
script function on the page, which changes the url of the page.

You say you have a script which details this behavior, please post as one html
file to this bug, when you open the website for the bug you can "Create an
attachment"

Possible Dup of Bug 253831 "sites with pop-ups that get past our pop-up blocker"

See Bug 265186 "Several links on drudgereport.com have popups that Firefox
doesn't block."

Is there a bug for the fastclick exploit and any roadmap for a patch?

An effective bug must describe a specific exploit. There are certainly enough
open "popup blocker circumvented" bugs mentioning specific sites that we don't
need another general bug.

Interpreting this bug to describe the specific exploit used at
www.drudgereport.com, this is the same as bug 263777.
