Details

Many mail programs, including the ever-popular gmail, give special visual
highlighting for messages that are addressed directly to the user. We should do
something similar in Thunderbird, to make it easier to scan for "directed" mail.

I'm not sure what the best visual cue is for this, or which of the user's
identities we should use to trigger the highlighting.
Since thunderbird already has labels, a possible implementation of this feature
could add a distinct label for all msgs sent To (or CC) user's identity.
Alternatively this could use grayed label for non-To/non-CC msgs. Just an
initial thought.
Mike let me know if following seems like what you are thinking of ...

The easiest and fastestt way to roll this feature out is by defining a filter
that labels msgs sent "To user's identity". This label can be either one of the
5 predefined labels shipped in the released product OR a new label definition
also created. The good thing is that this falls in the category of low hanging
fruits in the product and will add value to users of released versions as well
as future.

- Create a filter with msgs "To or CC" to apply a label lets say "work"
- Save a search into a virtual folder that spans multiple folders (if you want
that) and use same criteria (To or CC)
