282801 - Files downloaded to desktop go to desktop directory in profile, even if desktop was remapped in the registry

on Windows XP & 2000, Firefox does not respect the setting for the desktop
directory in the following registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell
Folders

This results in downloads to the Desktop going to the desktop directory in the
user's profile instead of the directory currenly mapped to the desktop.  Both
machines where I have experienced this behavior were corporate images and the
Documents and Settings folder was also renamed back to Profiles.  For example, I
set the desktop directory to a network location using the registry key above. 
Downloads still go to Profiles\useranme\Desktop

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Remap desktop using Registry key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell
Folders
2. Download any file to the desktop
3.

Actual Results:  
File was downloaded to Profiles\username\Desktop instead of the remapped location

Expected Results:  
download to the directory currently mapped as Desktop
