User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 Every time I go to the eBAy Home Page, I get this "Illegal operation in plugin" error. Doesn't matter if I go through the link from my own page, or directly to "http://www.ebay.com" ... always get the same error. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Enter http://www.ebay.com in navigator window 2.Press Enter 3. Actual Results: I get the "Illegal operation in plugin" error. Expected Results: Open the page without an error. No error is experienced with Netscape or IE. The eBay home page is the only page where this occurs. Sometimes, I have multiple Firefox, Netscape, and IE open when listing on eBay. I had this situation last night ... some of the Netscape and Firefox windows had pending items to be listed. When I went to go to the eBay home page through Firefox, every iteration of Firefox crashed. This has happened a few times in the last 10 days or so. I don't have the Talkback info ... if there is a way for me to retrieve it please tell me. There should be one from 2/17 around 10:30pm eastern.

I was going to report a bug similar to this - except that it was just to say that you should not be using the word "Navigator" in Firefox.

(In reply to comment #2) > I was going to report a bug similar to this - except that it was just to say > that you should not be using the word "Navigator" in Firefox. I don't know who the "you" is in your comment ... but if it is "me" - the bug reporter ... What I reported is _exactly_ what was in the error box displayed ... word for word. Interestingly enough, I had not even bothered with it recently, as I would prefer to use Firefox but can't afford the crashes when I'm working with multiple windows and listings, but I just tried it based on your e-mail. I now get a different error ... It now reads... "Program Error firefox.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program. An error log is being created." This after upgrading to Firefox 1.0.1

I think that the problem is also that the dialog box says that "Navigator" crashed (although the plugin is executing within Firefox). If someone could just adjust the text of this error message. Also see http://www.mozbrowser.nl/forum/viewtopic.php?p=26921 for an error-report about this.

Please don't morph this bug ! The "navigator" issue is a different bug and already fixed (of course not in the very old FF1.0.3 which is based on a gecko from last year) I never got an answer from the reporter about the question flash version and we also need a talkback ID if FF crashes. -> invalid
