In Outlook-contacts is only the private-address entered. Addresses which are marked as business in Outlook are correct imported as business-address. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Tools -> Import 2. Address-Books 3. Outlook Actual Results: The private-address is imported as private- and business-address in Thunderbird-Address-Book. Expected Results: Import should get private-address from Outlook as private-address in TB and business-address from Outlook as business-address in TB. If one of the both addresses is not filled, this one should be initial in TB.

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01". This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code. While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug (given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more reproduction information if you have it. If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved. Thank you for your help in this matter. The latest beta releases can be obtained from: Firefox: http://www.mozilla.org/projects/firefox/ Thunderbird: http://www.mozilla.org/products/thunderbird/releases/1.5beta1.html Seamonkey: http://www.mozilla.org/projects/seamonkey/
the problem can still be reproduced in recent version 1.0.6
... and also can be reproduced in version 1.5 it should be fixed soon, because the problem is one reason why I can't move to thunderbird (I won't edit all of my addresses after import in TB).

Thomas, can the issue still be reproduced in the latest supported Thunderbird version 2.0.0.12 or trunk nightlies?
Whiteboard: CLOSEME 2008-04-23
I can reproduce it with TB 2.0.0.12 (20080213).

I'm fine with taking it for wanted, but we need someone to take on importing bugs. As far as I know there's no one with that on their radar at this stage.

Moving bugs from TB: Migration to MailNews Core: Import, as the code for Outlook, OE, and Eudora migration is almost entirely shared within the core import code.
Component: Migration → Import
Product: Thunderbird → MailNews Core
Version: 1.0 → unspecified
