Redirect Remover cleans URLs from redirects. The following example will make it
clear:
www.navus.org/rdr.php?url=http://www.mozilla.org
changes to
http://www.mozilla.org
Without this extension only the upper link would be shown, and not directly the
target URL.

Such redirects are eg. used to display an additional frame on the target page,
which will most likley contain something useless like We are not responsible for
the content of extern sites or Back to page XYZ. But many a time, to detect
which links were clicked by the user. Mostly it will only count the click to
know the popularity of a link (mainly in linklists), but you can do much more
here, for sure. Because of the partly long URLs, you don't know exactly where
you are taken because the interesting part - the target URL - isn't displayed
completely (mainly at lower resolutions). Additionally the title of the target
page is overwritten so that there are many sites with the same title - happy
searching.

You can get the extension here:
http://xeen.navus.org/fx/redirrem/finals/RedirectRemover0.3.xpi (works for
Firefox 1.0)
The project homepage is: http://xeen.navus.org/fx/redirrem/
mail is xeen.dc -ED- web.de (replace -ed- with @)

greetings,
xeen

No luck in contacting your site. I'll try again later.
Odd. The page and the xpi both work for me... maybe a temporal downtime... who
knows...
