283001 - emoticons not converted with Walnut 1.6 theme

When i have the Walnut 1.6 theme applied, emoticons are not converted both in
the received and composed mails..this not happen when using other themes.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.compose one message
2.load an emoticon from the menu
3.

Actual Results:  
emoticon is not converted 

Expected Results:  
should have converted it

How about complaining to the author of the theme?
