Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en) AppleWebKit/125.5.6 (KHTML, like Gecko) Safari/125.12 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041217 We are running Mozilla across approximately 300 machines. On machines running 1.7.3 we can reliably export our address books (and do so due to the tendency of Mozilla to have address book corruption after a computer crash). If a machine running 1.7.3 is upgraded to 1.7.5 it is no longer possible to export the address book. Choosing Tools | Export... produces the error message: Not enough arguments [nsIAddressBook.exportAddressBook] No file dialog ever appears, and no export occurs. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Upgrade 1.7.3 to 1.7.5 (optional step?) May occur in any 1.7.5 installation 2. From address book choose "Tools | Export..." Actual Results: Error message: Not enough arguments [nsIAddressBook.exportAddressBook] Expected Results: Prompt for file name and export as LDIF file. Consistently reproducible on fresh upgrade from 1.7.3. Tagging this bug as "Major" since the loss of the ability to back up the address book combined with other open bugs concerning address book corruption my lead to the loss of personal address books. Since this requires both this but and the address book corruption bugs, I decided to keep in one slot lower in importance than "Critical" even though data loss does occur.
It is already fixed in the 1.7.6 builds. 1.7.6 is not released yet (will be soon). If you cannot wait, please install the latest 1.7 build to fix it. latest 1.7 build (pre-1.7.6). http://ftp.eu.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/mozilla/nightly/latest-1.7/ *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 271895 ***
