Window positions lost or not recorded, UI elements forgotton - RDF problem?

Details
At first I thought Mozilla was simply not saving the windows positions: When I
close my Mozilla Suite application, all window settings are lost: position,
size, in mail the UI settings like column selection, etc. are lost in addition
to position/size. However, even just resizing a browser window, then closing, a
new window does not come up in the last used size/position, it comes up as the
default (normally I have sidebar hidden, it comes up enabled), etc.
I renamed all of the .rdf files to .rdf.old and no new .rdf files are written,
and the .rdfs were last written before I updated to a newer version of the
nightlies (sometime after 1/28/05).

Nevermind, I was clearing the wrong .rdf files. Doh.
