User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; de-DE; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041122 Firefox/1.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; de-DE; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041122 Firefox/1.0 On Startup of Firefox the Browser sometimes starts to connect and then freezes or it freezes right away. With a Blank startup Page it freezes after 2-3 Seconds. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start Firefox Actual Results: Browser freezes for a couple Mins. Expected Results: Access to Websites without Browser freezing The Problem seems not to be specifically related to the Platfrom(W2K) as it can reprocduced also on a Linux-Box(Kernel 2.6.10-1.14). The Firefox Process is using about 21MB of Memory but no CPU-Time at this Point. After playing around a bit I found out that i may be related with the Extensions as after uninstalling these it works fine(on Windows as well as Linux). The installed Extensions were the following: Googlebar(0.9.0.30) Auto Copy(0.3) Switch Proxy(1.3.1) Uninstalling and Reinstalling works also fun until I install the Extensions in which Case the Problem occurs again.
BUILD: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20050128 Firefox/1.0 (Ubuntu) (Ubuntu package 1.0+dfsg.1-2ubuntu5) I don't usually use ubuntu, but tried to reproduce here at work and nothing. What happens if you remove just the proxy switching toolbar and turn off the proxy? Also do you know what sort of proxy your behind? I am behind a http proxy which can sometimes cause slowdowns, so I am just wondering if it's your browser going off into the void looking for the proxy until it times out or something. Thanks

"After playing around a bit I found out that i may be related with the Extensions as after uninstalling these it works fine(on Windows as well as Linux)." That means -> invalid (ask the extension developer for help. I think it could be switchproxy but you have to test that)
