For the last week or so, whenever I try to login to my Yahoo account Firefox hangs, and if I stop it by clicking on the "X" close button it crashes (or at least the QFA pops up as though it were a crash). This has worked in the past, but suddenly stopped. If it's helpful, here are a few TB ids from these pseudo-crashes: TB3871599G, TB3871548Y. It doesn't seem to matter how I get to the point of needing to login, any attempt to do so hangs FF for me. E.g. replying to a Yahoo Groups or finance.yahoo.com message, logging in via the URL above, viewing a restricted Yahoo Group, playing Yahoo Games, etc., etc. I've tried a few obvious things like flushing my caches and cookies, to no avail. Now that I think about it, I should probably try a fresh profile... I'll post results if that is different. IE works fine, so it's (probably :-) not related to Yahoo's servers or my account there.
So, perhaps predictably, it WFM with a new profile. That's a somewhat unsatisfying answer, though, as I have extensive bookmarks, history, settings, AdBlocks, cookies and other state that I'd really prefer not to lose. Is there a good way to copy the user-specific stuff from one profile to another (while hopefully clearing out enough of the junk to fix this problem)? BTW, it also works if I start up in "Safe Mode", but not in "Extensions Disabled" mode.

Ok, this problem goes away if I uninstall AdBlock. I have some sneaking suspicions that perhaps yahoo is getting cute about adblocking. So, not sure whether to close this bug or not. The crash when I close FF in this state is still a real crash, but perhaps it can be attributed to the extension rather than FF... Is anyone able to analyze the TB?
(In reply to comment #3) > Is anyone able to analyze the TB? As a rule bugs in extensions are not handled in Bugzilla. If you think that it is a bug if an extension can cause Firefox to crash (as opposed to removing functionality), you might want to open a Bug Report on that, preferably with a test case.
I've tracked this down to my AdBlock filter set. Switched in the standard FilterSet.G and WFM now. Anyway, I'm closing this. I might open a bug for the resulting crash if you close FF while the page is stuck, because I've seen a lot of crash-on-close-while-hung situations lately... but I'll see if I can narrow it down more first.
