User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.0; Windows 98; DigExt)
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; ru-RU; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041108 Firefox/1.0

Link on this page opens 't.htm?Description Описание', the only parameter of
this link includes Cirillic word. t.htm java script extracts parameter and
writes it to page. The same script also sets page title with FIXED (not
parameter) string. What I see: title appears correct, page text charset is
wrong (default?). Codepage in the browser menu is Win-1251 (correct), both html
pages and http headers (coming from server) have the same setting. This repeats
with ISO charset in META tag. If I use extracted parameter to set a title, it
also becomes unreadable. Finally I guess that FF threats parameters line as
westeurope (or something like this) ONLY.
This problem also presents in Opera 7.
No problems with: Mozilla 1.5a (!), IE 5-6, NS 4.7, 6.0, 7.0
Any ideas? May be I can change charset for extracted parameters strings?

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open link on the specified page
2.Check page charset correctness

Actual Results:
page text displayed in iso-8859-1

Expected Results:
URL parameters after '?' should have charset as defined in META or HTTP header

no
