Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; Secure IE 3.3.1263)
Build Identifier: Firefox1.0.1

I downloaded the Firefox 1.0.1 file to my desktop. When I try to open it, I
get a pop up window that says "7-zip Unexpected Error"

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Click on Firefox download at Mozilla.org
2.Save to desktop
3.doubleclick on desktop icon

Actual Results:
7-zip Unexpected error

Expected Results:
installed Firefox
It seems your installer file is corrupt. Which version did you download and from
where (URL)? Try to redownload it.
Version: unspecified → 1.0 Branch
Same behaviour with Firefox 1.0.2, but under Win98, while trying to upgrade a
working 1.0.1 version.
I had just upgraded correctly with the same file a Firefox 1.0.1 on a Win 95
machine, but I downloaded another copy just to be sure, with the same results.
Only difference between the computers, the filesystem on the Win98 machine is FAT32.
The aborted installation thrashed the previous version of Firefox, that now
says, instead of starting, that "The program must close to allow a previous
installation attempt to complete. Please restart."
When I try to install 1.0.2, I click on the "Firefox Setup 1.0.2" and extraction
happens, then nothing. And no FX is ever installed.
