I only noticed the bookmarks missing today. Yesterday (also for no apparent reason) I suddenly had a sidebar on the left side of my browser window appear (with a Mapquest search tool) everytime I opened a new Mozilla window - I've never set up anything like that. Reproducible: Always I was working on a very large (~100Mb) Powerpoint file at the time these problems occurred.

I should also add that I had a lot of bookmarks (hundreds) and I had added several new bookmarks the day this problem occurred. I tried downloading the newest version of Mozilla and Firefox and importing my bookmarks and the bookmarks were still missing.
Please upgrade to a current build, this week 1.7.6 should be released or use the 1.8Beta1 release. Mozilla 1.6 is too old to care about.
Hi, all of my mozilla bookmarks disappeared May 22,2005. I have not had any major crashes or system changes during that time nor have I reinstalled your product. My version of Mozilla is 1.7.6 and I have not installed your latest 1.8 beta version. The only major change I seem to remember was the automatic downloading of the updates of Windows XP home edition. I have Service Pack 2 installed also. :)

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01". This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code. While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug (given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more reproduction information if you have it. If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved. Thank you for your help in this matter.
