Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 I recently acquired a Brother MFC-420CN printer which includes a flash memory reader (for CompactFlash and SD type cards from a digital camera). The flash memory reader is accessible via an embedded FTP server -- the printer is connected via Ethernet. When I try to access the embedded FTP server on the printer from Firefox (e.g. via ftp://user:password@NNN.NNN.NNN.NNN -- obviously substituting the actual username, password, and IP address), I get a window that pops up and says "The FTP server 200 ITRON embedded printer OS. is currently unsupported." I can access the FTP server on the printer with no problem via IE 6.0 SP2 and ftp.exe in a cmd window. Is there any way to add support for this FTP server to a future version of Firefox? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Firefox 2. In the address bar enter ftp://user:password@NNN.NNN.NNN.NNN Actual Results: Pop up window indicting that the "200 ITRON embedded printer OS" is unsupported Expected Results: Listing of directories and files on flash media card in printer.
