This is not a problem with TextEdit as text copied from Safari retains formatting. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anacoluthon 2. Select first paragraph 3. Edit -> Copy 4. Go into TextEdit 5. Edit -> Paste Actual Results: the text pasted without formatting Expected Results: the text should have been formatted
