I couldn't find an existing bug on this, but please dup as needed.

found using 2005022511-trunk firefox bits on linux fc3. try to open the prefs
dialog, eg, select Edit > Preferences from the main menu.

results: the resulting dialog never finishes drawing. it's quite, ah, animated,
so I couldn't cannot access any of the preferences controls. ;)  Close button
responds slowly (dialog closes after a few seconds). can also dismiss by
clicking 'x' close widget in the titlebar.

no JS console errors seen.
