User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; nl-NL; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041202 Firefox/1.0
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; nl-NL; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041202 Firefox/1.0

In IE the album scroller runs very smooth under WinXP. In Firefox it doesn't,
the movement has some very annoying "hick-ups".
URL: http://www.james-newton-howard.com/main.html?/discography/discography.html

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. load the URL above
2. move the mouse pointer over the scrolling frame

Actual Results:
erratic/irregular scrolling

Expected Results:
smooth scrolling
Also the scrolling doesn't go any further than a certain amount. It stops at the
albums from 1991. IE doesn't has this problem.
Not sure where this goes, but it's not Firefox General...

I don't really see this with a current trunk Linux build... Is this an issue on
trunk?

I see the mentioned "hick-ups" too, but they are not that severe. Mozilla
trunk 2005031906 on winxp pro xp2, 1.8mhz, ati radeon x600 128mb
Confirming for now.

This has now been resolved by changing the JavaScript code of the album scroller.

Is the original code still available somewhere? Could it be attached to the bug, for example?
Scrolling is equally smooth as other browser in the URL mentioned in comment 0. This was reported 5 years ago, so the site might have changed. No testcase was attached either showing the issue.
