I'd like to say a configure-option to change the attribution line to 
* FirstName LastName <Address>:
and also (for newsgroups)
* FirstName LastName <Address> [yymmdd hh:mm]:
Even with prefs.js I wasn't able to produce this behavior, may due to the
missing documentation about %-parameters.

Adding email address is bug 140377; that field isn't available at this time.

Is this looking for a particular date format, or just to include the address?
There's not much support for date formatting anywhere in Mozilla at this point.
