User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 After creating a RSS News and Blogs account, it will not add any new subcriptions to the account. When I click on Manage Subscriptions the Manage your subcriptions box is shown. I click on "ADD" and type in the URL. Next the ADD buton is grayed out and "Verifing the Feed..." is shown endlessly with no spin bar movement. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Click on Manage Subcriptions 2. Click ADD on Manage your subcriptions screen. 3. Type in the feed URL then click OK. Actual Results: Nothing. It reads on the bottom left of the box "Verifing the feed..." endlessly with no spin bar movement. After a while I click on "OK" to cancel. Expected Results: When I click add then enter a URL feed the spin bar should fuctions to verify the feed and display the RSS feed within seconds.

Which version of Thunderbird are you using? Which feed are you attempting to add? This appears to be a dupe of bug 269067 -- certain feeds will cause this problem under TB 1.0, but a fix has been implemented which you can check using a nightly trunk build.
Summary: RSS News & Blogs Subscriptions: Manage Subscripions will not add subscriptions, Its verifing feed... endlessly. No spin bar movement → RSS: Manage Subscripions will not add subscriptions, it's verifing feed... endlessly. No spin bar movement

Comment on attachment 175784 [details] RSS Subcription Screen shot, Resetting the attachment type, which was incorrect. Since you apparently don't know what you're doing, please do not supply any further information unless asked. Whatever that attachment is, it's worthless -- if it is in fact a .DOC file, I'm not going to look at it. Why don't you simply answer the question about which version you're using? You can find a nightly build to test at this link (which may be broken onto multiple lines): http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/thunderbird/nightly/latest-trunk/
