After right-clicking the image, an option 'show full-screen' would allow me to show the image to others nearby. After pressing 'esc' or 'space', the browser would resume its normal rendering of the page. Reproducible: Always

Sounds like an extension to me

Yeah, that's definitely extension fodder. We have View Image, but that's not going to size stuff upwards.
