User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050227 Firefox/1.0+ Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050227 Firefox/1.0+ In the above url, there are certain links that, when hovering on them (i.e., putting your mouse on them, but not clicking them) a pop-up comes up, but goes away when you move the mouse away. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to http://www.anandtech.com/cpuchipsets/showdoc.aspx?i=2239 2. Hover over the buffer overflow link in the main area of the text. Actual Results: The annoying pop-up showed. Expected Results: Ideally, there would be an option in the program setup to allow or disallow this kind of action.
Note that this isn't actually a popup but a floater. Would be nice to be able to stop these, but definitely a RFE. This is a dup too, but I can't find the bug number.
You can install something like AdBlock and have it block intellitxt.com items. That's what I did to stop these floaters.
Yes these are no popups, the ads are like a huge title/alt tool tip. Use Adblock extension with this filter rule to block this. /(doubleclick|fastclick|spinbox|falkag|vibrantmedia|intellitxt|paypopup)\./ So you avoid also the new flash popups from fastclick/paypopup. No bug in FF itself.
