User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050223 Firefox/1.0.1 (ax)
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050223 Firefox/1.0.1 (ax)
After installing 1.0.1 over 1.0 any web page that uses a meta refresh to
redirect to another page just sits there. No errors shown. Forced refresh does
nothing.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to http://www.crh.noaa.gov/dtx/start.htm
2. Wait.... wait.....
3. View source to confirm it's not a blank html file :)
Actual Results:
Browser just displays blank page.
Expected Results:
Redirected to url in the meta tag.

You might be asked to ensure that you have completely replaced version
1.0. Did you 'uninstall' it? Create a new profile?
This bug is also reproducable after a rich text editor has been loaded by a site
such as HTMLarea. We are seeing it a lot in the moodle.org community where
HTMLarea is used as the Rich Text editor and then http-equiv="refresh" is used
in an inline frame. If you revisit this page after shutting down Firefox and
before any HTMLarea or Rich Text Editors (there are some reports of it happening
with another editor) are loaded then the http-equiv="refresh" works fine.

> This bug is also reproducable ...
You might be asked to give instructions (a recipe) for reproduction. More
importantly for the purposes of this report, you should check that the bug
occurs on a truck build such as recent nightly.
Having said that, I suspect that if there are still problems with updating
Firefox from one minor version to the next, there will be someone interested
in fixing them, though probably not in respect of an upgrade to 1.0.1 .
This report may be WORKSFORME.

I just started seeing this happen too.. firefox 1.0.4 binary gentoo ebuild.. I
installed FCKEditor (http://www.fckeditor.net/) and noticed this behaviour while
using it. Works fine in IE. It only affects that window - alternate windows
continue to work fine with meta refresh. Closing the window, and reopening works
too, but it is annoying..

Im having a problem, which i believe is this bug. My way to reproduce:
1) go to www.thedailypos.org/forum/
2) login with username: Name password: password
3) click the profile button
4) select "Forum Profile Information"
5) Click "Change Info"
6) A blank page should come up
7) reload the page, saying yes to the box
8) page should now come up
If this is not the right bug, i'll file a new one

Still experiencing this problem with Firefox 1.0.7 (Debian/sid). Opening pages in a new window allows meta refresh to work. Do you need more information, such as a debug trace or something? Please let me know.
