Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050223 Firefox/1.0.1
When I try to log onto my home page http://www.Optonline.net\home, it says wait
loading.....and then it goes right back to the Optonline.net\home home page and
I cant access my email account.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.open Mozilla
2.Optonline home page is displayed.
3.Click on the webmail tab....nothing happens....except for it saying it is
loading....and then it pops up another copy of Optonline home page over the old
one and this can be repeated several times.
Actual Results:
It just kept repeating puttting Optonline home page over itself and wouldnt let
me log in to view my mail.
Expected Results:
gone to the account log in thing. I should have been able to put in my name and
password and gone to read my emails.

Do you get an alert saying "www.Optonline.net\home could not be found.
Please check the name and try again."?
If not, I am fairly sure that I am reading your recipe as you intend.
Otherwise, I suggest taking the same course of action as Bug 283982
comment 1 .

Have you tried the log-ins at
http://www.optonline.net/Registration1?domain=/Home
and
https://webmail.optonline.net/

Shouldn't that URL be <http://www.optonline.net/Home> (without the backslash) ?
That works for me in Firefox 1.0.1, <http://www.optonline.net\Home> return an error.

The javascript login window to Optimum Online's web email service does not load
correctly. Instead, the window loads the optonline.net homepage. This error
does not occur on IE and appears to be a bug in Firefox.

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01".
This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.
While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.
If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
