User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050223 Firefox/1.0.1

If user Anonymous requires a password Firefox will not send the password.
The password is omited and the default anonymouse password is sent.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. FTP to a server that has a password set for user anonymous
2. Try to send the username anonymouse:password
3. Error 530 Login or password incorrect

Actual Results:
Error 530 Login or password incorrect

Expected Results:
Send the password that was supplied in the connection string.

It is much nicer to have a username and password field pop up so that you can
type them in. Having to type the username and password in the connection string
is a pain.

The username and password dialog box is standard on Opera, Konqueror and IE why
not make it the same for Firefox.

Most users don't know how to add the username and password to the connection
string (ie ftp://username:password@ftpsite.com)
This is truly an annoying workaround due to the fact that the link is saved and
should anyone bother to look, they can find your username/password pair by
looking at the history.

I'm also having problems uploading pdf files through ftp as well. When I
drag-and-drop the pdf file onto FireFox, the bugger opens the pdf file with the
Adobe plugin rather then upload it. I'm not exactly sure how I'll accomplish pdf
uploading on ftp with FireFox. I'll do some searching around for the proper
place to place the second part of my rant later.
Perhaps I should've searched up my problem with uploading on ftp because I found
the answer to my question in mere minutes of searching it up. Well apparently
full ftp functions aren't integrated into FireFox as of yet; ftp access is
limited to only viewing and downloading.

However, there's still that security hole that allows you to see the password
and username for the ftp access when using the ftp://username:password@domain. I
firmly believe that the login feature whereby users are presented with a login
window should be implemented. And uploading too, I have IE installed and I look
forward to the day I have the freedom to uninstall it and use FireFox as my
undivided browser.
