User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050223 Firefox/1.0.1
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050223 Firefox/1.0.1

On the page http://www.geocaching.com/seek/nearest.aspx?zip=98671&x=0&y=0,
selected checkboxes change when you click on a cache description link and then
click the 'Back' button. The check box previously selected will be blank and
the the check box three spaces above the one you had selected will be selected
when the page reloads.

Build information is above; the workstation is Windows XP Professional, all
recent security patches applied.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Load http://www.geocaching.com/seek/nearest.aspx?zip=98671&x=0&y=0
2. Check the checkbox for the fifth listed cache on the page
3. Click on the cache name link for a description of the cache
4. Click the 'Back' button

Actual Results:
The checkbox selected will now be blank; the checkbox three spaces above the one
you checked will be checked.

Expected Results:
Selected checkboxes should have remained selected as originally indicated by the
user.
See Bug 46845 "Form elements don't reset upon manually reloading page"
Windows 2000 FireFiox 1.0.1 does the same on check box treatment on SalesForce site.
This page does not seem to contain any checkboxes for me? And the cache
description opens in a new window / tab, and as such makes it impossible to back
by clicking the back button...

Using: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050223
Firefox/1.0.1
The checkboxes are on the right-hand side of the screen after the cache
description. If you check the box and then click on a cache description, it
should open in the same window/tab (at least it does for me).

REVISED REPRODUCTION INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Visit http://www.geocaching.com/seek/nearest.aspx?zip=98671&x=0&y=0
2. Select the checkbox (right-hand side of the screen) for Jared's Lacamas Park
Cache by Jared (GCHQG1)
3. Click on the description for Jared's Lacamas Park Cache by Jared (GCHQG1)
***At this point, you should enter a details page for this cache in the same
window/tab
4. Click on the back button
5. The checkbox now selected is the one next to We Love Highway 14: Puzzle
Pieces by Dan & Janet (GC7F99), which is three selections higher than the
original selection.

Bug 46845 (seems to) reference primarily that form elements do not clear on
reload. This is different, as the form elements change on reload.

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01".

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
