User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; cs-CZ; rv:1.8b) Gecko/20050217 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; cs-CZ; rv:1.8b) Gecko/20050217 From M1.8a3 I observe incorrect "open with..", "save as.." dialog behaviour. It is not closing preceding window where you can choose what to do with the file. In KDE there is also a problem with focus when saving. Focus is not changed to next window "Enter name of file to save...". Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Click URL from this bug (you may have a different behaviour according to your setup) 2.In "Openning" dialog click "Save it to disk" Actual Results: Focus remains on "opening" dialog under KDE (Gnome seems to work OK) AND new window opens with "Enter name...". The "Openning" is not closed and it is still possible to change you choise resulting in NO action happen at all. Expected Results: Behaviour as in M1.7.x See screenshot to see how it looks right after clicking OK in "Opening" dialog.

Found 249143 is close to this. Why opening dialog remains open even thought saving was choosed already? The behaviour was different in 1.7.x - there opening dialog is closed after pressing OK.

Hmm... sorry for the mess. In 1.7.x only focus is taken off the Openning dialog - it also remains open.:(

> It is not closing preceding window where you can choose what to do with the > file. This is actually purposeful (though there are existing bugs on the filepicker not being modal to said window). You want to see the type of file, etc, that you're dealing with, and all this is listed in the helper app dialog. > Focus remains on "opening" dialog under KDE This is bug 280518, I believe.
