User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050223 Firefox/1.0.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050223 Firefox/1.0.1 Well this is very simple. If you click once in the google search box on the top right of the firefox browser ... then hit enter (with nothing is the search box) the program crashes and shuts down. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Click in the google search box on the main browser window. 2.With a blank search box hit enter. 3.The program then crashes and gives the option of being debugged or closed. Actual Results: The program must be restarted manually. Expected Results: Gone right to google like it did in version 1.0 but this problem just started in version 1.01

Bert: Could you also provide Talkback incident of your crash?
Severity: major → critical

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050223 Firefox/1.0.1 WFM Reporter: do you see the same crash in a new profile, or with all extensions disabled? It does this all of the time with either a new profile or all extensions disabled ... doesn't matter
Another thing about this that I noticed is that if you were to copy a link on a web page then paste it into the url bar on the top of the firefox browser the program also crashes. For example if you right click and copy a link then paste it into firefox the program will just crash. Even if it's a new tab, or a new window it happens all the time.
Bert: Could you also provide Talkback incident of your crash? I would love to but I'm not sure how to do that...sorry.
I have same problem on linux. Problem was that I was unable to open file google.src. So I believe this will be same problem. FF doesn't test if file was correctly opened
