This may conflict with the XP philosophy, but under Unices there are two buffers, and versions of mozilla =< 4.x would put selected text into the passive buffer (as nearly all X apps do). Similar behavior in 5 would be great.
This is a dup of 20901, but bugzilla isn't handling resolve dups right now.
