As it is now, if you want to move an email, you right click on the email,
selects "Move to...", then "Local Folders...", then the folder name.

I think moving emails should be done by pressing right mouse button and choose
"Move to this folder" on the folder that you want to move the email to.

This way you don't have to navigate through many submenus, and it can be done in
one/two click.

This would work nicely with https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=284365

Reproducible: Always
On windows, I can right mouse button and pick move to ...something's weird with
your setup/window mgr/something, because thunderbird has these features.
When I right click on a folder I see these options:

Open in new mail window
Copy folder location
------------------------
Mark folder read
New subfolder
Rename folder
Compact this folder
Delete folder
------------------------
Search messages
Properties

In this menu would a "Move to this folder" be smart.

Do you really have such?
no, I have that menu choice when I right click on a bunch of messages in thread
pane, not when I click on a folder. Oh, I see what you want - personally, I
think that's a bit odd and non-standard, and I doubt we would do that, but I'll
leave it up to Scott

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
