Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041217
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041217

The setup is as follows: I have two mail accounts set-up, with start-up and
automatic period mail checking disabled. Passwords are kept in password locked
PSM (with password timeout). Yet, from timem to time I am asked to open the PSM
and/to confirm session secured by unknown isssuer SSL certificate (both
accounts are IMAP/SSL). This does not happen every time but usually after
Mozilla runs for a day. Yet the instance I'm typing from does this, and it runs
for 2h.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. set up a IMAP/SSL account
2. enable atomatic mail checking and use it for some time
3. disable auutomatic mail checking

Actual Results:
Mozilla checks mail periodically even if automatic mail checking is disabled.

Expected Results:
Nothing.
is "Automatically delete junk messages older than..." turned on in prefs?
That will connect to the server.

If you have it checked, this is a dup of bug 223800..
