That sounds like you have your system settings for opening dmg files wrong. What
is the filename and extension you get when you download? Does it work if you use
Get Info to change what application opens the file?

I have the same result - cannot open Firefox browser on Mac running OS10 - it defaults to 
Microsoft Excel spreadsheet instead.

With three duplicates, I decided to try this myself. Using IE5/Mac, I clicked on
the "Download" button on http://www.mozilla.org. Firefox was downloaded as a
file named "download.mozilla.com" which, on my system was labled as an "MPEG
video" (I don't have Excel installed).

It seems like IE/Mac isn't handling the redirection to the mirror properly, and
is thus not recognizing the correct name (and type?) of the file.

Surely this is an IE/Mac problem - but perhaps there is some workaround which we
can use? Losing most people which are currently using IE on the mac would be a
real shame.
