Used search dialog: Tools -> Search Messages
While search is running, hitting enter on one criteria result in application crash.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Tools -> Search Messages
2. Run a long search
3. Point to one of the criterias text field
4. Simply hit enter

Actual Results:  
Application crash

Expected Results:  
Stop search and restart with the new criteria, or disable criteria enter while
search is running and not stoped.

Are you using IMAP?  This could be a duplicate of bug 283848.

searching local folders, I crashed with linux build 1.7.5, but linux trunk build
2005030305 was fine

No, I'm not using IMAP - mails are stored in local files.
