When you try to view the source on this page, the whole source is not displayed. Steps of reproduce 1. Go to above URL 2. Select menu View|Page source The following part of the page is displayed. <html> <head> <title>Netscape = Tested 2000021808 Linux, Mac, and Win32 build. I tested http://home.netscape.com/ja/ http://home.netscape.com/zh/cn/ The source is displayed fine.

this bug is closely related to 12502 - we currently use the XML doc type fallback (UTF-8) if there is no charset meta tag present. This results in all sorts of weird behavior: aborted page rendering, incorrect display of raw non-UTF-8 characters (e.g. Chinese instead of French)... Once 12502, 28484 and 23083 are deemed PDT+, I could finally check in the fix that has been sitting in my private tree for a week or so :-)

Ok, next attemot to close this bug. The code changes are finally in. They should be in the nightly build on Feb 23.
