The site http://www.newgrounds.com loads up with many extra images. Many are
tiled in the background, or replaced with other images.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Set cache to 1
2. Surf the site until at least 1 image is inappropriately placed
3. Refresh page

Actual Results:  
A random image should be tiled on the background and many images will be
replaced with another image from the server, but with the same dimensions as the
old image

Expected Results:  
Load the correct images in their places.

Clearing the cache and restarting the browser seems to be a short-term fix.

I'm seeing similar things on one of our web sites. Images on the page are
sometimes swapped randomly. And it has something to do with cache and refresh.

I concur to Newgrounds and also to other sites like XGPGaming.com but those are
the only sites I frequent. My site is unaffected but it is a "low budget" site
with everything hardwired in code and not editable conditionally (ie avatar pics
and etc) but it does happen in my forums which leads me to believe this issue
has something to do with many sources editing information like avatar pics,
signatures, etc. Forums stuff it seems.

Attachment: The issue is more widespread then just Newgrounds. Here is an erroneous page from XGPGAMING.COM/FORUMS.

This issue is more wide spread than just Newgrounds. It can and does occur in
many places especially message boards. This shows a military rank icon (Vboards
rank icon) as the subject profiles avatar and the ICQ icon has replaced the
"pink elephants" that should appear as shown in the next attachment which was
"temporarily remedied" by clearing the cache.

The following is in regards to my last attachment. This is what the page should
look like. Notice the football player avatar instead of the military rank icon
and the "pink elephants" in replace of the incorret ICQ icons.

Can anyone still reproduce this using Firefox 2.0.0.3 or later? I can't seem to reproduce it using the link from comment 0.

Seeing as it has been over 2 years since I first reported this bug, and I too cannot re-reproduce the results, I am going to change the resolution to FIXED.

I'll give my opinion as to what I believe was causing my problem in the first place. Viruses and spyware aside, I was running the most current version of ZoneAlarm PRO at the time. Due to complications with the program that I can't remember, I uninstalled it, along with the image display bugs.

Switching resolution to WORKSFORME since we don't know what code or variables fixed this.

I will concur that the problem is fixed. I can no longer duplicate the problem here or anywhere else as previously posted. I still have no idea what caused it and I cannot recall very much about what I had on my computer so I won't even hazard to guess.
