Firefox "critical updates available" icon doesn't go away once I have updated.

I'm referring to the red circle with a white "+" in it at the upper right.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click the icon to auto-install the update.
2. Exit and restart Firefox, thus completing installation.
Actual Results:  
The icon is still there.

Expected Results:  
The icon should go away until a subsequent update, newer than my completed
installation, is available for download.
