open browser - initial page EX: http://www.hav.com/ (no tabs visbile - I think
this is default)

right click on e of the links and open it in new tab

second page opens in new tab - ok - no problem there -- BUT if you look back at
the initial page (now in leftmost, 1st tab) the bottom frame has been partially
pushed down such that the browser status bar hides it.

If reload page in the 1st tab, it reloads ok and is displayed as its should be.

Looks like simple case of adding the tab bar not causing the initial page to
re-render iteslf in the reduced browser display space (I say "simple" meaning
the cause seems clear - not to imply simple fix :-)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open browser - initial page EX: http://www.hav.com/ (no tabs visbile - I
think this is default)

2. right click on e of the links and open it in new tab

3. click 1st tab (leftmost containing initial page)

4. see that bottom frame is now partially hidden buy status bar

Actual Results:
bottom frame on initial page is partially hidden by status bar

Expected Results:
would have expected initial page to have been re-rendered such that all frames
were still visible in the (now) reduced browserr display space.
Probably the same as bug 271647...
yes - same as 271647 - sorry, didn't see that when searching bugs
