However - most of the text in the email is actualy an image, but thunderbird doesn't notice, it displays the image without offering to block it. If you'd like a copy of the email send me an email at mazz0@sienterprises.co.uk and I can send you it. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Click the email in the list of mails 2. 3. Actual Results: The image shows Expected Results: The image shouldn't show, and there should be a button to show images in the mail

The "block images" option is actually called "block *remote* images" -- that means that images are not loaded from a remote server when the message is opened. The purpose of the option is *not* to suppress image display, but to suppress accesses to remote server thru which your having read the message could be tracked.
