Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 Using the "Open in Tabs" feature in Bookmarks clobbers existing tabs. For example, if I have 10 tabs open and I go to a bookmark sub-folder that has three bookmarks in it, and select "Open in Tabs" from that, the resulting window shows just those three -- and the rest of the (already opened) tabs just get closed. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a small number of bookmarks (say 2-3) in a separate folder under Bookmarks. 2. Open a larger number of tabs in the browser (I had about 8-9 open). 3. Go to Bookmarks>TestFolder>Open in Tabs Actual Results: The three bookmarks in the folder open as expected. However, all my other (already opened) tabs are now gone! I didn't immediately bookmark all ten, so now several of them are gone (until I dig up the source URLs again). Expected Results: The three bookmarks in the folder should be opened in new tabs or a new window, but they should definitely NOT close existing tabs. At worst, they can perhaps override the first few tabs (2-3 in my example above) -- whose contents could then be recovered by just browsing back -- but there's no reason do anything to the rest of the already-opened tabs. In my prefs, I have tabbed browsing enabled and set to open links from other apps in a new tab in the same window. I also have "select new tabs opened from bookmarks or history" checked. Leaving severity at "normal" for now until developers can have a look, but this is a major pain in the rear. In fact this could justifiably be marked as high as "critical," since a partially-filled form in a tab that gets closed in this fashion could in fact cause data loss.

This bug is CRITICAL! - users loose their data. Bug exists very long time (from v0.9 as I remember), but nobody bothers about that :(
