User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; fr-FR; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041217
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; fr-FR; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041217

I upgraded from 1.7.3 to 1.7.5 - Uninstalled 1.7.3 version then installed 1.7.5.
I had the extension TAB X and undo closing tab on the previous version. After
the new version was installed i lost the ability to close the tab either through
control w, context menu, clicking on the x of the tab or the right end x. I
though it was due to french version i used and installed it in my other computer
in english; same situation. Reinstalled; same situation.
I reinstalled the extensions related to tab; same situation
I created a new profile and closing the tab was working (context menu, control
w, right end x); i installed the extesions related to the tab and closing the
tab through the x of the tab functioned as well as the other way to do it.
Went back to original profile and closing tab was working. Deleted newly
created profile. Now is working properly.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.installed in another pc with same parameters, preference, software and extensions
2.
3.
Actual Results:
tab worked out correctly

Expected Results:
be able to use the tab functions without having to activate them through another
profile

I wish i new about programming in order to help make this situation disappear.
Maybe you could add the tab x and undo closing tab extension as permannent to
version 1.8.

Note: Where do i make comments or suggestions? Anyway if you could forward it
to proper dept: When upgrading, previous version need to be deleted, there
should be a very small and basic software allowing us to use the internet,
without having to go back to IE or other - if you do not see them ever you wont
feel tempted to use it again - can this happened! just to make sure- in order to
make the new version dowload

thank you

Have you re-installed Tab X extension?

> Have you re-installed Tab X extension?

Seems he did -> Reinstalled; same situation.

Reporter, do you see JavaScript errors on your JavaScript console?

Note that you might need to check Menu Edit/Preferences/Debug/Show chrome
JavaScript errors and warnings or about:config ->
javascript.options.showInConsole true

i installed 1.7.7 and lost the tab functions, i uninstall it to reinstall, this
time on the second window that ask me if i want to delete all the mozilla
folders i said no and this time the tab functions were still there, so thats the
