User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0

Using “Send to receipting as attachment” in Excel, Firefox attaches the file as

18.temp in the Attachments box (which cannot be opened)

The name of the file to be attached appears in the Re: box

Using Send to Receipting as attachment in Word, Firebox attached the file to the
email as a .doc and it can be opened.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open file in Excel
2.Use Send to Receiptent as attachment

3 [review]. Email created but excel file is only in the re: not in the attachment
4 [review]. File in attachment is a .tmp file

Actual Results:
If you send email, receiver cannot open the attachment

Expected Results:
In Word it works perfectly and created a word.doc in the attachment
Do you mean Firefox or Thunderbird ?
He means Thunderbird. Also this bug is already fixed.

This was fixed some days after TB 1.0.

Please try the latest aviary branch build (latest TB 1.0.x build) from
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/thunderbird/nightly/latest-aviary1.0.1/

to fix the problem or wait until the TB 1.0.1 release (coming soon).
