If the RSS site uses Microsoft .aspx extension the toolbar will only display it
as a MTML file. http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/secrss.aspx

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open FireFox
2.goto http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/secrss.aspx
3.Drag it into the toolbar

To add a live bookmark for a site that does not provide a rss link that firefox
understands take the following steps.
1. Copy the rss link using 'copy link location'
2. open the bookmark manager
3. File -> new live bookmark
4. create a 'name' and paste the rss link into 'feed location'
