While accessing a page from a link in Thunderbird, I got a pop-up re update 
and implemented. - XP sp2
The link page never loaded.  Exit/power down/ uninstall / remove profile / 
reinstall, all result in Firefox starting with no url showing.  Inputing url & 
GO shows a brief "searching" then "done" with no page loaded.

At first uninstall, both versions of Firefox were showing.  Removal of 1.0.1 
removed 1 on reboot.

Do you use a firewall? Perhaps you need to reconfigure it to allow FF 1.0.1
access to the internet.

Please configure your firewall to allow Firefox to connect to the internet.
