After installing of the new security patch for Win98SE KB 891711 Thunderbird 1.0
de-DE freezes after loading large Emails and Emails with attachment. Having
killed thunderbird by the Windows taskmanager, the system is broken and won't
restart. Talkback is installed, but didn't start. 
I saw this bug on 2 different Win98SE systems after installing this patch.
Loading of Mail by other progams (Outlook Express) works with the patch. 

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install the Win98SE Update KB 891711
2. Open Thunderbird and load a large email (multipart html or with attachment)
3. Thunderbird freezes after the mail is loaded.

Actual Results:  
Thunderbird had to be terminated by windows taskmanager. After doing so, the
system did not restart. Reestablishing the system, the Email was completely
loaded and visible.

Expected Results:  
Continue to load other Mails from other accounts. Regular shutdown of the
program and the system.

After uninstall of the patch and restart (the patch loads a KB891711.exe started
with Windows) anything worked fine. This is a Windows 98 problem only, the
earlier patch with the same number for Win2K made no problems.

See bug 285382 for Firefox. From what I have read this is not the kind of crash
that can be reported by talkback.

 Windows 98 SE and Windows ME," wrote Jerry Bryant for the Microsoft Security 
 Response Center (MCSE). "At this point, we have been able to confirm these 
 reports and are currently working on a resolution."

It's not Mozilla's fault. Please read bug 285382 comment 9 and reinstall the
update. Marking invalid.
