User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050303 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050303 When I get junk mail in (very little due to good filters at my ISP), I usually use the Mark as Junk option on it. That automatically removes the mail I marked as junk to the Junk folder. But when I go to a next folder where my email filters have put the other emails coming in, the Junk mail filter automatically selects one of the new emails and marks it as Junk, moving it to the Junk mail folder. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: Mark email as junk. See it being moved off to the Junk folder Go to a seperate filter folder that got email and see how one or more emails are marked Junk and being deleted. I must say, I only noticed this behaviour since the 1.8 beta versions of Mozilla Suite. The alpha versions before this behaved normally. And it doesn't do it all the time either. Or maybe it has been doing it all the time and I just wondered where someone's email went to. ;) I first thought it was a version of this bug: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=209748 but for that it happens in other folders, not the same main folder that my emails come into. (does that make sense?)

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01". This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code. While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug (given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more reproduction information if you have it. If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved. Thank you for your help in this matter. I've tested it with Seamonkey 1.0 Alpha and I still see this behaviour. Email comes in, it takes out the junk mail it has learned about, but as soon as I look in a folder I filter mail to, one or more of the emails there get filtered as junk as well. Messages that are filtered to folders do not get processed by the junk controls until the target folder is opened. This behavior is unrelated to whether junk in the Inbox was detected (or marked as junk manually). This problem is bug 223591. If this is the problem you're describing, please mark this bug as a dupe of that one.
