the icons appeared immediatedly after the update and refuse to be deleted

Steps to Reproduce:
1.download 1.0.1
2.look at desktop icons and try to use to open file
3.try to unsucessfully delete icons when none of the icons work

Actual Results:  
got a popup message stating they caanot be deleted

Expected Results:  
the icons being useless should have been deleted into recycle bin for total 
disposal

I downloaded the upgrade version of Firefox.  When I did it installed three 
icons on my desktop. They will not open firefox nor can they be deleted.  When 
I try it give a message stating it cannot read from source disk or file.  I 
would like to get these useless icons off my desktop and ask for your help
